qt-assistant-compat software package provides Qt Assistant compatibility binary (legacy), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install qt-assistant-compat
qt-assistant-compat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the qt-assistant-compat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep qt-assistant-compat *
You will get with qt-assistant-compat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
